What Kind of Corrections Do I Look For?  I will carefully read your transcript and mark any corrections/notes using your own specifications and preferences, always keeping in mind that the goal is to make what was said as clear as possible without changing what was said.   I will seek out errors including punctuation, spelling, capitalization, word usage, spacing, transposed words, and consistency/readability.

Invoicing

Invoices for new clients or one-off jobs will be sent upon completion, payable within 7 days.  For established clients, invoices will be sent at the beginning of the month, payable within 30 days.

(Late payments will incur a monthly 10% charge until paid in full.)

My name is Susan Gilissen. 

 

I've always had a passion for reading and writing.  In fact, I have a bachelor's degree in journalismI received my professional training and certificate in transcript proofreading through ProofreadAnywhere.com, an intensive and thorough course with rigorous testing.  I am experienced in proofreading patent cases, interpreted proceedings, and complex content including IT, medical malpractice, and construction-related cases.

My background consists of
paying attention to details in fast-paced environments:

  • owning a small business where quality control and superior customer service was critical

  • legal administrative work for a high-powered law firm in Washington, D.C.

  • providing human resources, communications, and research work for various companies as well as an embassy


I have resided on both the east and west coasts, including Westchester County, NY; Washington, D.C.; and Oregon's Willamette Valley.  I currently live in Connecticut.
